Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and growth initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for executive leadership for strategic planning and decision-making.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial matters, business risks, and opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying variances and areas for improvement.
- Provide clear financial reports and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the organization’s financial stability.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Oversee audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Support business units with financial insights for project evaluations, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Qualifications or Competency:
- 8-10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 3-5 years in a senior financial management role. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role, ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience in a high-growth organization.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to develop financial strategies, manage budgets, and drive business performance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, non-profit] is a plus.
- Experience in leading digital finance transformation initiatives.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant financial certifications strongly preferred Business, finance, or accounting degree mandatory. MBA preferred. CPA preferred.
