Registered Nurse

A healthcare provider in Staten Island is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their outpatient team, providing essential care to clients with substance use disorders. This role plays a critical part in supporting the community's health and well-being.

About The Opportunity

• Hybrid or Remote: On-site only
• Shift: Two available shifts, Monday to Thursday 11am-7pm and Friday 9am-5pm; Tuesday to Saturday 6am-2pm is higher priority
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for approved overtime
• Hours: 35 hours per week, with 1 hour unpaid lunch
• Setting: Outpatient treatment facility
  
  

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse - Outpatient will be responsible for:

• Dispensing methadone and administering medications, including injections
• Conducting medical assessments and taking vital signs
• Assisting with EKGs and blood work as needed
• Providing education on disease prevention and harm reduction
• Maintaining medical records and inventories
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of RN experience, preferably with Substance Use Disorder or Serious Mental Illness clients
• Associate s Degree in Nursing
• NYS RN licensure and BLS certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
  
  

Desired Skills

• Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with methadone and crisis management techniques
• Knowledge of substance abuse treatment regulations
