Job Details
Reporting to the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, the Corporate Compliance Program Specialist will provide advanced administrative guidance and direction on effective implementation of the Corporate Compliance Program and the Compliance Plan. The Specialist assists with managing the day-to-day operation of the compliance program and compliance plan along with helping to maintain a comprehensive process for an evidence-based compliance approach for the Compliance Department. Functioning as part of an independent and objective body within Dayton Children’s, helps review and evaluate compliance issues/concerns and ensure 100% compliance with the organization’s Corporate Compliance Program.
This position is responsible for helping establish and execute a risk-based audit and internal monitoring plan which detects and prevents fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA), and misconduct, in order to maintain the highest level of ethics and to comply with all relevant federal and state statutes, regulations and other guidance.
Capable of conducting independent investigations and audits related to Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Provider related business segments for compliance.

Department Specific Job Details
Education
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years in Healthcare required
- Coding experience preferred
- Experience developing and delivering training to multidisciplinary audiences (highly preferred)
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- CHC-Certified Healthcare Compliance, must acquire within first 12 months, preferred.
- CCS-Certified Coding Specialist certification preferred; 1+ year compliance/ regulatory, preferred.
- Understanding regulations (HIPPA, Stark Law, Anti Kickback Statute) preferred
