The Quality Inspector as AEVEX Aerospace is responsible for ensuring that our products meet quality expectations. They are tasked with conducting tests, analyzing measurements, and creating and maintaining reports for fabricated parts.

Essential Functions

  • Inspects metallic and non-metallic parts to their required data, ensuring all dimensions are within tolerance and meet design criteria.
  • Reads and interprets inspection manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine inspection method and procedures and allowable tolerances.
  • Verifies configuration of component parts and location of fastener holes, using check fixtures and measuring instruments.
  • Inspects welding, heat treating, bonding, brazing, and machined parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Accepts or reject parts and records inspection results.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, findings and observations.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Discusses inspections and test results with QA Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

Qualifications And Competencies

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, documents and manuals
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and testing methodology
  • Extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a results driven approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar software to prepare reports
  • Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to work independently as needed

Education / Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Aircraft and aircraft part inspection with certification a plus
  • FAA PMA experience a plus
  • Part 65 A&P or Repairman certification a plus Experience
  • 1-3 years proven work experience as an aircraft inspector or relevant role required

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.

Salary Range

$29.57—$33.80 USD
