Is This YOU? Then We Want to Meet You!

We’re looking for a Tier 2 Security Monitoring Engineer to join our NOC team. In this hybrid role, you’ll spend most of your time (50%+) investigating alerts from our SIEM platform—validating suspicious activity, contacting users, and taking immediate protective action. You’ll also monitor servers, networks, and other critical infrastructure to keep client environments secure and reliable.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, clear communication, and being the first line of defense against threats.

Experience

  • CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
  • 1–2 years in IT support, NOC, or Helpdesk
  • Familiarity with SIEM alerts and basic incident investigation
  • Knowledge of servers, networks, Active Directory, and endpoint security tools
  • Strong communication skills for user interaction and documentation
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation

Qualfications/Skills

  • Excellent telephone and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to self-direct, multi-task, and function well under deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong judgment, maturity, and discretion in handling security-related matters.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Who We Are

At LTVplus, we’re all about delivering WOW-worthy customer experiences for brands worldwide. We’re a remote-first company with a team spread across the globe, embracing flexibility and diversity in everything we do. We work with various clients, bringing personalized support to enhance their customer experiences.

Your Mission Will Be To

  • Provide excellent client support via telephone and email, including urgent return of calls, emails, and inquiries.
  • Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts generated by SIEM and other monitoring tools.
  • Contact end users when necessary to validate suspicious activity.
  • Determine whether alerts represent false positives or actual security incidents.
  • Take mitigating actions according to established procedures (e.g., disabling accounts, blocking access, isolating endpoints).
  • Escalate confirmed incidents with full documentation of findings and actions taken.
  • Proactively monitor customer servers, networks, and other infrastructure for availability, performance, and security issues.
  • Effectively address and troubleshoot system alerts generated by monitoring systems beyond security-related activity.
  • Maintain administrative competencies of all NOC tools and products including backup, disaster recovery, AV, spam, patching solutions, DNS, SSL-Certs, DRaaS, FWaaS, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring alerts and propose tuning or process improvements to reduce noise.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes in ConnectWise and update cases until resolved.
  • Collaborate with team members and security specialists on incident handling and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date runbooks, documentation, and procedures for incident response and NOC tasks.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and provide quality service.
  • Participate in 24/7 call rotation for servicing client needs after hours or on weekends.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety at work.

Tech Checklist – Gotta Have It!

  • A reliable computer (at least with an i5 processor) and a stable high-speed internet connection.
  • A quiet, cozy workspace to handle calls and chats like a pro.
