Join Our Team as a Materials Manager in ELYRIA, OHIO at our Sugar Lane Facility.
Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is seeking an on-site, day shift Materials Manager to be an integral part of our Sugar Lane Facility. This position is accountable for the efficient management of materials, inventory, and supply chain operations for our Tape Operations facility. You willl oversee material planning, shipping and receiving, inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse, customs and inventory control ensuring that materials are available to meet production demands while minimizing costs and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations including scheduling, grinding, reel building (offline department) inventory and shipping. Executes SAP transactional actions as needed.
- Prepares monthly MOR reporting contribution, shipping and delivery.
- Implements and maintains inventory control systems to track material usage, manage stock levels, and reduce inventory holidng costs.
- Manages budget for labor, production, supplies and materials usage.
- Manages finished goods master schedule and Production and Inventory Department.
- Leads and mentors a team of materials professionals, providing guidance and support to scheduling, inventory, shipping and receiving, and warehouse team members.
- Manages and resolves any issues related to material shortages, delays or discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements in all materials mangement activities.
- Develops and reports on KPI's related to materials management, such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, on-time delivery, order fulfillment lead time, compliance rate and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of overall supply chain/logistics in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of inventory and material management.
- 4 + years of inventory management, MRP, FIFO management program, expenses, PO placement, distribution planning, logisitics management and physical inventory.
- History of developing or implementing lean initiatives. Lean manufacturing (training or implementation) practices to include ISO, 5S, TOM and O12.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams) and ERP systems. SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $88,000-$133,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
