The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse operations by monitoring efficiencies per unit by employees, ensuring timely shipment of product and setting and meeting goals of on time deliveries and error %, managing inventory control of aged material flow and ensuring FIFO systems in place, maintaining cycle counting goals of +95% accuracy, and managing distribution costs for transportation and working with procurement to identify best rates.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and ship products in accordance with company policies.
  • Administer warehouse physical inventories with computer system.
  • Review inventory needs at economical levels for accessory operation.
  • Assign and send purchase orders for product needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
  • Develop good employee relations within departments. Maintain a pleasant and safe work environment for employees.
  • Approve weekly payroll and monitor work performance.
  • Oversee daily scheduling of personnel to ensure proper manning in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
  • Have WIP inventory within departments in line with work schedule.
  • Adhere to budget requirements and work toward obtaining objectives and division goals.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned in association with the optimization of the workforce and distribution operations.

Qualifications

  • Two-year associate’s degree in business related field or equal experience.
  • Five years’ warehouse and office experience.
  • Two to four years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills in D365 preferred.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Some periodical traveling to vendors and materials sources.
  • Requires long periods of sedentary work.
  • Requires repetitive upper body movement, keyboarding and monitor use.
