POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking a detail-orientated and highly organized Compliance and Shipping Manager to oversee all aspects of shipping and regulatory compliance with our products, with a specific focus on maintaining strict adherence to BATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, and Explosives) regulations. This role is critical to ensuring lawful product movement, accurate documentation, and seamless logistics operations within the regulatory framework.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

• Oversee and manage all shipping operations, ensuring timely, secure, and compliant transportation of regulated and non-regulated products.
• Maintain full compliance with BATF guidelines, including record-keeping, reporting, labeling, and secure packaging requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all BATF inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Ensure all shipping documents, manifests, and inventory logs are accurate and up to date.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure adherences to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Manage inventory tracking systems to ensure accurate logging and reconciliation of regulated products.
• Collaborate with legal, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on compliance policies and procedures.
• Train and supervise shipping staff to ensure understanding and execution of BATF-compliant practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of changes in BATF regulations and proactively adjust internal processes as necessary.
• Assist in developing and enforcing company-wide compliance protocols and training materials.
• Implement and manage a Quality Control process for all suppressors and accessories.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or relation field preferred.
  
  

Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in compliance, logistics, or shipping management role.
• In-depth knowledge of BATF regulations and reporting requirements, especially as they pertain to shipping and storage.
• Proven ability to manage audits, compliance inspections, and regulatory communications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo), shipping software, and inventory management platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable using help desk software, CRM tools, and remote support platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in BATF regulated industry (e.g., alcohol, firearms, ammunition, explosives, tobacco).
• Certification in compliance, logistics, or inventory control.
• Experience with customs, international shipping, or additional regulatory bodies.
  
  

Schedule

• 9/80 work schedule
• Monday – Friday
• Overtime may be required as assigned
• Overnight and extended travel as required.
