Job Purpose
Ensures that quality control processes for all manufacturing are effective in ensuring quality product is delivered to customers and total cost of quality is minimized. This involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, and liaising with broad range of component part suppliers, other Dana manufacturing facilities and external suppliers.
Job Duties And Responsibilities

This involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, and liaising with broad range of component part suppliers, other Dana manufacturing facilities and external suppliers.
Job Duties And Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Customers
- Implement quality culture through all departments
- Drive supply base quality by improved containment, faster response times and eliminating reoccurring issues
- Ability to multitask and coordinate actions for multiple issues
- Embrace Dana Operating System (DOS) and apply principles to quality culture
- Drive corrective actions in fast paced, high pressure environment
- Mentor and empower the quality department
- Manage and oversee annual IATF 16949 internal and external audits
- Daily management of Quality KPIs to ensure goals are meet or exceeded
- “Represent the Voice of the Customer” by Coordinating, Managing, and Facilitating the Quality Department to achieve “Ultimate Customer Satisfaction”
- Responsible for leading department initiatives through a collaborative team effort to fulfill customer requirements, team building and training.
- Oversee, provide leadership for and coordinate activities for the quality function within the plant
- Prepare, manage and control the department budget that meets or exceeds plant goals and objectives
- Maintain, manage and populate daily Quality KPIs at morning Diamond meetings daily
- Monitor all customer Quality related web sites for compliance and current requirements. Develop and maintain procedural systems in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer specific requirements.
- Participate in, sometimes champion, Internal and Preventative CAR’s and perform root cause analysis with action plan implementation
- Implement quality systems and initiatives
- Participate and support in Continuous Improvement Activities (DOS, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma & Black Belt activities)
- Direct Advanced Product Quality Process (e-APQP/APQP/PPAP)
- Serve as liaison between local Plant and Division Quality Departments
- Track and maintain quality related costs
- Responsible for coordinating investigations and responses to customer complaints and corrective action system
- Manage Customer Quality Rejects and Returned Material and 8D Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions
- Maintain and manage a trained qualified capable quality staff able to execute the quality processes, procedures, and responsibilities of the quality operating system
- Oversee process capability studies and quality audits
