This position reports to the VP of Legal in the South Region’s Legal Department and supports the South’s Regional Legal Team. This position requires the ability to manage multiple administrative duties on a daily basis. The position requires organization, accuracy, attention-to-detail, relationship building skills, excellent verbal and written communication, judgment, and confidentiality.


Responsibilities:


  • Independently manages a wide variety of administrative functions in the department.
  • Processes a high volume of legal documents, including leases, amendments, license agreements and ancillary lease documents.
  • Provides general administrative duties: correspondence, coping, filing, mailing, and answering phones.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments, tenants, and tenant attorneys to resolve issues or refer to others for resolution.
  • Legal research, as necessary.
  • Prepares and maintains monthly reports and other legal documentation as needed.
  • Uses software programs to update reports on a regular and timely basis.
  • Maintains departmental databases of various documents.
  • Arranges conference calls as needed.
  • Performs Notary Public duties as needed (preferred but not required).


Education and/or Experience:


  • HS diploma or college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative support experience required
  • Real Estate Legal administrative support experience a plus


Position Requirements:


  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures and use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level acquired through at least 2+ years related experience.
  • Proven ability utilizing variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (i.e. JD Edwards, Salesforce, Microsoft Office).
  • Analytical ability required to gather and summarize data for reports, research, find solutions to various administrative problems.
  • Work requires continuous attention-to-detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent command in English language to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to present self and Brixmor Property Group in a professional manner in all customer communications and actions.
  • Must be able to exhibit initiative and work independently.
