The Regional Director (RD) of Sport serves to fulfill the FCA vision by supporting the Regional Vice President through developing and leading the Regional Sport team. The RD of Sport will help create unity and synergy among the Regional Pillar Leadership Team. The RD of Sport models the FCA values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.
The RD of Sport provides support to the regional field staff by leveraging systems, processes, opportunities, resources and training in all Sport Environments, Programs and Facilities. This position is responsible for submitting the annual budget for all expenses as assigned by the supervisor. Additionally, the Regional Director of Sport will manage and steward the finances for the assigned area of responsibility. The budget should be funded through Home Team, along with Major Donors and Events.

Cast

- Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
Cast
- Help cast the vision for sport environments throughout their region by helping field staff discover, clarify, communicate and launch ministry across the sport environments.
- Provide consistent communication regarding all regional, national and global sports initiatives and updates to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Maintain current knowledge and expertise on key sport environment training, processes and resources available to equip field staff in the implementation and execution of ministry.
- Work with the EVP's of sport environments to ensure that the processes, systems and resources that are being created are helping the Regional VP grow the scope of ministry in their region and protect the ministry of FCA as these opportunities expand.
- Collaborate with other Regional Directors of Sport to help design, improve and implement systems, processes, resources and training.
- Provide key input from the Region for national/global advisory teams and task forces.
- Represent the region through serving on the team with other Regional Directors of Sport to create synergy and provide organizational alignment, clarity and continuous improvement of various sport environment processes, systems and resources.
- Create connectivity outside of FCA with key regional governing bodies of sport and partnering or anizations.
- Create connectivity inside of FCA with staff that lead ministry in the various sport environments.
- Provide the RVP with key metrics, data, and observations pertaining to the health, growth and development of the ministry in the sport environments. Be available to help regional field staff with day-to-day opportunities and challenges that present themselves in the various sport environments.
- Consistently remind and train regional field staff about the processes, systems and resources that exist in sport environments.
- Listen carefully to what works and is not for each sport environment and provide feedback to the relevant EVP.
- Identify the best practices and provide feedback to the relevant Sport Environment EVP.
- Connect, communicate and care for existing and prospective financial partners to ensure that the ministry is fully funded. This includes building a Home Team that consists of Automatic Monthly Partners (AMP) and Recurring Funding Partners (RFP).
