As an Administrative Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will play an integral role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Toledo/Detroit office. You will report to the office lead and be responsible for

  • Leading and mentoring the local administrative team, including professional development discussions and performance reviews;
  • Partnering with senior leadership and project managers to streamline administrative work-flows and improve operational efficiency;
  • Overseeing the production of technical reports, proposals, and correspondence to ensure consistency and accuracy;
  • Managing complex, engineering and sciences related work-flows including version control and timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Supporting coordination efforts between business development, technical engineering, and other teams;
  • Coordinating social events and team building activities to continue promoting a positive work culture;
  • Managing office supply needs including procurement, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships;
  • Collaborating with HR and department managers to support on-boarding processes for new hires;
  • Representing the administrative function in leadership meetings and contributing to strategic planning discussions.

  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred;
  • 10+ years of administrative or related experience (preferably within an Engineering Consulting firm);
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience;
  • Proven experience utilizing Excel and other Microsoft Office platforms required;
  • Comfortability creating and updating spreadsheets within Excel required;
  • Strong communication skills utilizing Teams, Outlook, and other electronic communication platforms;
  • Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration background is a plus.
