About The Role
BESCO is seeking a qualified Site Safety Representative to join our electrical construction project team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all company, client, local, state, and federal safety regulations on the construction project -site. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to foster a culture of safety throughout the project team.
Key Responsibilities
BESCO is seeking a qualified Site Safety Representative to join our electrical construction project team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all company, client, local, state, and federal safety regulations on the construction project -site. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to foster a culture of safety throughout the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project site(s) activities to ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections, document findings, and reporting compliance to the Owner’s Site Representative(s).
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing reports and corrective action plans.
- Maintain all required safety documentation and records.
- Inspect and maintain all PPE and required safety equipment for project site(s)
- Serve as the on-site liaison for safety audits and inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety across the project site(s).
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification required.
- OSHA 30 or above required.
- 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with owner’s site representative(s), project managers, supervisors, and crews.
