Summary: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the design, deployment, management, and maintenance of new and current database systems. The DBA will establish, maintain, and execute policies and procedures around security, maintenance, management, and disaster recovery of databases.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule: The work schedule of the Senior Applications Developer is Monday – Friday, at least 8 hours per day. Works overtime as required

Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and maintain new and current Database (DB) systems.
- Establish, maintain, and execute policies and procedures around security, maintenance, management, and disaster recovery of Data bases.
- Creation and administration of new and current user accounts according to security policies and procedures.
- Configuring, maintenance and monitoring of High availability group & SQL clusters.
- Break, fix, troubleshoot, and root cause SQL server and related technology issues.
- Work with a collaborative team on DB design and data modelling focusing on improving SQL efficiency for application performance.
- Responsiveness to alerts from production database during and after normal business hours.
- Performing code reviews and participating in design reviews inside pods/projects.
- Database Security and audit compliance
- Conduct reoccurring DB tasks (Daily, weekly, monthly)
- Write scripting to automate tasks.
- Deploy DB changes during release cycles.
- Pull Data requested by authorized parties for evaluation.
- Experience with high availability groups and SQL clusters.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization.
- This position may require occasional after-hours work to respond to database alerts and perform maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience Database administrator
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
- Excellent understanding of SQL and database management.
- Experience with database security, backup, and recovery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
