Description
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for performing engineering duties in research, planning, and design of mechanical and hydraulic products and systems; and coordinating activities involved in fabrication and installation of products and systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Designs drivelines, transmissions, axles, castings, and hydraulic products or systems with knowledge of materials, forming processes, machining processes, and hydraulic calculations.
Coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
Evaluates engineering change requests and recommends design modifications to eliminate production and assembly difficulties.
Develops and completes test plans for new or existing products. Analyze data to correct issues.
Familiarizes with the ISO 9001-2015 Requirements
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Experienced in the use of engineering software, MRP, and CAD.

Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
- Use of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required.
- Minimum 3-5 years engineering experience.
