Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a R&D Project Manager I – Shockwave Medical to join our team located in Santa Clara, CA.

Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Ready to join a team that’s pioneering the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

The R&D Project Manager I is responsible for managing PMO initiative projects by coordination of cross functional project activities to ensure projects achieve desired outcomes. Under guidance and direction, this role will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation of best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participates as a member of project or sub-project team(s) in coordinating projects activities.
  • Works with project team members including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Operations and Marketing to ensure projects and activities are executed according to standard processes.
  • With support, manages various aspects of projects from initiation to completion according to the project plans and other applicable procedures.
  • Tracks project progress against plan.
  • Responsible for managing the project schedule, budget, risk, reports, and communication.
  • Responsible for preparation of the Project Portfolio Dashboard, Project Schedule, report project status, issues, and meeting minutes for applicable R&D projects.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Successfully learn and exhibit knowledge of project management basics including scheduling building, tracking, coordination, effective communication, budget and risk management.
  • Acts as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, scope statements, and change management records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in science, engineering or business administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1-2 years of related project management coordination experience
  • Able to organize across multiple initiatives and integrate work streams into an integrated plan
  • Experience assisting medical device projects working with cross functional teams is a plus
  • Software skills: Excel, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, Outlook
  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
  • Proficient with verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and savvy in dealing with external customers

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$61,000 - $97,750

Additional Description For Pay Transparency
