IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Technician/Courier position at its facility in Greeley, CO.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess The Following
– A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Microbiology or related field (preferred)
– Basic math skills
– Good attitude and willingness to work with others
– Good communication and organizational skills
– Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs above waist level
– Ability to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level
– A valid US driver’s license and a driving record (at least three years of driving experience) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring. Must be comfortable driving throughout Northern Colorado.
Laboratory Technician/Courier duties include: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, sample testing steps (under supervision), compositing using aseptic technique, transcribing results, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport, inventory control, and other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $17.00 hourly (DOE). The schedule for this position is Sunday through Wednesday, from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
