JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will lead the MFR Post filing legal assistant team primarily responsible for attorney court preparation after the Motion or Objection has been filed. Your primary responsibilities include oversight management of complex court calendars, ensuring all orders are drafted, approved, and submitted prior to any court or client deadlines, and ensuring all contested matters are resolved timely and without internal issue.

JOB SUMMARY:

Your primary responsibilities include oversight management of complex court calendars, ensuring all orders are drafted, approved, and submitted prior to any court or client deadlines, and ensuring all contested matters are resolved timely and without internal issue.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a team of Legal Assistants, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Oversee the preparation of all necessary documents to resolve all pending Motions and Objections including but not limited to Consent Orders and Relief Orders.
- Manage and maintain attorney court calendars, ensuring all court dates and deadline are accurately tracked and communicated.
- Work with the MFR Manager to Implement and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy within the paralegal team.
- Create training plans for existing and new employees to ensure the team is both cross trained and that team members have proper backups.
- Act as a liaison and leader between the team and the attorneys to ensure seamless communication and support.
- Review reporting daily to ensure no hearings, deadlines, or orders are missed for all states.
- Review all client directives and implement any necessary changes within the team.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.
- Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education & Work Experience
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree or combination education and experience.
- 3-5 years prior supervisory experience required
- Previous experience with the bankruptcy industry and related systems a plus
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge of using computer software applications including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Adobe to streamline work for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Experience using computer spreadsheets and database application for report generation.
- Experience with a variety of data processing software and relational database systems for data retrieval, analysis and review.
- Knowledge of contractual payment histories and payment application.
- Ability to increase skills and knowledge to facilitate the use of new systems and updated applications.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, policies, financial reports and to incorporate these into written documents as needed.
- Proven ability to develop, analyze, and carry out program and project objectives and work with others in achieving organizational goals.
- Proven ability to research, gather and organize information to produce concise reports using various resources.
- Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills (using grammatically correct written English and accurate typing) to interact with a variety of personalities at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
