Reach Truck Operator (Pay DOE)

Mighty Distributing System of America (MDSA), a franchisor of sales and services in aftermarket auto parts, is looking for an enthusiastic associate to join our team at our national distribution center - Mighty Product Center (MPC) in Jackson, Tennessee. MPC supports 100+ U.S. distributors in 45 states, five international master distributors, and local professional installers.

Job Summary:

Reach Truck Operator: PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIECE! Responsible for various assignments, duties, and tasks within the Warehouse including replenishment of products and safely storing products. This will be accomplished by traveling through the warehouse pick area and retrieving and stacking specific products and quantities as specified while maintaining any determined expectations of safety, accuracy, and/or efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Perform actions on a scanning device to update inventory as items are moved within the system.
• All pallets must be verified for accuracy in the inventory system. If an error is found it is then up to the operator to do appropriate paperwork to notify inventory and fix the problem.
• Loads or unloads materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative
• Manually loads, unloads, sorts, and stages products throughout the warehouse
• Uses computer to look up items, print tickets or shipping labels
• Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment, including picking up trash and reporting all safety hazards and incidents
• Perform daily safety checklist on machinery and other required daily paperwork.
• Keeping all assigned areas as clean as possible to promote a safe environment.
• Works harmoniously and cooperatively with others
• Follows all Company and OSHA safety guidelines
• Maintain attendance according to company policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED strongly preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered

Prior RF scanner experience picking orders (Recommended)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexible to change; willing to move around to other areas

Ability to work overtime as needed

Manually lift, push-pull, and/or carry merchandise that typically weighs up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs.

Ability to stand and work on a concrete floor for extended periods

Attention to detail is a must
