REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will work hand in hand with our Marketing Communications Specialist and Brand Management teams and play a critical role in helping Durvet move faster, communicate smarter and serve our members better. Staying ahead of competitors and improving communication efficiencies are critical, and the role is responsible for executing timely communications and coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure speed and accuracy is achieved. Ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with design sensibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead implementation of Durvet’s new communications platform.
- Develop templates and maintain shared resource library in new platform.
- Manage all Durvet’s Private Label communications, in addition with assisting on Vendor communications where needed.
- Work closely with the Marketing Communications Specialist to support the release of all communications sent internally and externally.
- Manage and maintain audience list segmentation and email newsletter scheduling.
- Track and organize communication requests, deadlines, and publication calendars to support timely execution.
- Lead Durvet Rewards (PAC) program – user support, uploading programs and quizzes, assigning points, maintaining user database and invoicing/billing.
- Maintain and report the Monthly Marketing Dashboards – New Products and Gross Profit.
- Serve as the back up to the Marketing Communications Specialist when needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on role initiatives.
- Collaborate and assist on various Marketing team initiatives such as: ProfitBuilder, Sales Pro event prep, blogging, social media content, and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year college degree in marketing, communications, business, agriculture or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, sales support or animal health industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in written communication.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to be self-driven to accomplish tasks and follow through on deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms or content management systems is a plus.
- Ability to conduct job functions via video platforms such as Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom.
- Overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read computer screens, written documents, and email.
