The individual in this role will have the opportunity to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements that impact insurance products.

What will our ideal candidate have?
The hiring range for this role is $69,065 - $94,990 annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and/or may be considered for other positions.

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements that impact insurance products.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?
- Supports the ongoing implementation of the core business attributes of empowerment, accountability, and connectiveness.
- Monitors resources for legislative and regulatory changes and analyzes impact to Western National products.
- Identifies new requirements that may require policy and form language changes; implements rate, rule, and form changes to comply with statutory requirements.
- Works with actuary on rate changes for assigned business lines; communicates changes to internal and external customers.
- Holds responsibility for a minimum of two lines of business.
- Researches trending coverage and risk exposures to protect the company, agencies, and policyholders from evolving risks.
- Creates and manages state filings for assigned line(s) of business.
- Participates in testing and auditing of assigned lines of business, both pre- and post-implementation.
- Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards by responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
- Ability to translate legal language into policy language.
- Demonstrated experience in reading, reviewing, and filing both personal and commercial lines product forms at the state level.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
What will our ideal candidate have?
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and execute work independently.
- Ability to think critically and handle complex problems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Coursework toward CPCU or other insurance designation preferred.
- Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.
- Experience with System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) and bureau websites.
