The Role:

As our Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in our finance function, responsible for the full scope of the monthly financial close. You will own the accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. You will work independently while serving as the primary liaison with our external bookkeeping firm to ensure our financial operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Close: Own the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.), and conducting variance analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial data
  • Accounts Receivable (A/R): Manage the entire A/R cycle, from generating customer invoices and tracking billings to applying payments and performing collections on past-due accounts
  • Accounts Payable (A/P): Oversee the A/P process, including processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring proper coding of all expenses
  • Reporting of Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management review
  • Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact for our external bookkeeping firm, providing them with the necessary information and documentation to finalize monthly reports
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4-6+ years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Proven experience managing the month-end close, A/R, and A/P functions
  • High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite), Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables)
  • Familiarity with platforms like Bill.com, Brex, and other AP solutions
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously


Nice To Have

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience working in the SaaS or AI-enabled technology industry
  • Prior experience collaborating with external accounting or bookkeeping firms
