Minimum Qualifications
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of related professional experience performing data analytics.
OR
Education And Experience
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in C omputer Science, Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics ; AND two (2) years of professional experience performing data analytics.
Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Relevant education will be calculated as the following:

Description Of Job
This position determines the level of data mining access to be extended to external stakeholders.
Typical Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Initiating contact with Medicaid Operations and Fiscal Agent Operations staff, determining what reports and data queries are required to meet their business needs
- Creating, developing, executing data queries and providing data analysis and reports to appropriate stakeholders
- Analyzing data and reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders and then running targeted reports to provide mission-critical data necessary to support informed decision making
- Analyzing and deciding when external data needs require changes to the Department’s data ecosystem. Providing strategic direction to internal web designers regarding the type and nature of the provider data that should appear on the Department’s external website
- Overseeing metric tracking for the Section, and analyzing workflow and processes to decide what metrics require reporting to Office leadership. Designing and executing needed reporting and presenting it to Office leadership. Maintaining the Section SharePoint site, directing its content and design
- Coordinating, obtaining and tracking data from other stakeholders, units and vendors
- Interacting with vendors who supply data and information to the Department
- Participating in identifying issues and trends that require input and resolution, escalating issues to management and recommending changes and solutions
- Other duties as assigned

- Professional experience writing and executing SQL queries
- Professional experience presenting data concepts and analysis to a wide array of audiences and stakeholders
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel a must), Power BI, Tableu
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries
- Understanding of database concepts
- Ability to present data concepts and analysis to a wide array of audiences and stakeholders
