We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Filing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and organizing files, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible. This role is essential for supporting our administrative operations and ensuring efficient data management.
Responsibilities
27 - 30 USD per hour(Remote (Greenville, South Carolina, US))
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Filing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and organizing files, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible. This role is essential for supporting our administrative operations and ensuring efficient data management.
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize documents for filing, ensuring proper categorization and labeling.
- Maintain an organized filing system (both physical and electronic) to ensure easy retrieval of information.
- Update and manage records in databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for filing, including scanning, copying, and indexing.
- Retrieve files and documents as requested by staff members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding file management and data security.
- Help with inventory management of office supplies related to filing and documentation.
- Perform regular audits of files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in training new staff on filing procedures and systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional clerical or administrative support training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a filing clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and filing software.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Familiarity with record management procedures and databases is preferred.
