Major Job Functions
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:
- Review technician daily assignment schedule. Help to balance workload and set standards. Assess and prioritize, as necessary, to compensate for any unforeseen variables
- Assess and resolve problems that may arise
- Utilizes the inventory management system, to ensure ongoing QA assessments are complete and accurate. These assessments are then communicated to the CS team
- Lead all new location Cape Fear Valley logistics set up for new hospitals and clinics and third-party locations including courier service coordination, medical supplies stocking recommendations, and coordination with buyer templates
- Ensures adequate medical supplies and/or equipment are available to meet the needs of this facility
- Performs duties as a trainer, as necessary, in conjunction with the Logistics Training Coordinator. Ensure employees can perform assigned tasks and verify that training records are complete, accurate and up to date
- Conducts and tracks productivity standards for all Supply Chain Team members
- Performs daily QA checks associated with the access to various departments and supply par cart locations within the hospital. These tasks include but are not limited to supply order selection, supply delivery- restock, and sanitation
- Involved in the data analysis and implementation of inventory aggregation and supply optimization
- Operate manual and battery-operated pallet jacks and equipment as necessary
- Assist with material movement between facilities, to include operating various sized box trucks with lift gates
- Other duties as assigned
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Education And Formal Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s in Business or Operations Management, or equivalent work history preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience with inventory application or Supply Chain Logistical application preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be capable of following written as well as verbal instructions and communicate these instructions when necessary
- Good organization, communicative and leadership skills required
- Must have a good overall knowledge of Central Supply daily activities and routines
- Must be able to see and hear
- Visual acuity is necessary when working with delicate instruments
- Manual dexterity required when reaching, handling, adjusting, and lifting instrument trays or boxes that may weigh as much as 60 pounds
- Pushing carts with loaded weight as much as 400 pounds and long periods of standing are required to perform daily activities
