Summit County Public Health is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to work full-time (35 hours per week), Monday through Friday.

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of building systems, maintenance activities, and fleet management. This position ensures that Summit County Public Health facilities and vehicles remain safe, functional, and cost-effective to support the agency's mission of protecting and promoting community health. The Supervisor will manage vendor relationships, coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance, and step in to problem-solve when issues arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day building operations and maintenance across all Summit County Public Health facilities.
  • Supervise and support maintenance staff, ensuring timely response to facility needs and emergencies.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
  • Oversee fleet vehicle operations, including maintenance, inspections, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate and monitor vendor and contractor work to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies, providing leadership and direction to protect staff, clients, and assets.
  • Maintain accurate records, work orders, and reports related to facility and fleet operations.
  • Develop and recommend cost-saving strategies to improve efficiency and extend the life of assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field and experience that demonstrates the ability to meet specific job duties.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Must possess 3-5 years of directly related work experience.
  • Current valid Ohio driver's license, automobile availability and insurance coverage.

Salary: $36.77 per hour
