Mead PK-8 Leadership Team Overview
Thank you for your interest in the Mead PK-8 Leadership Team. The purpose of the leadership team is to involve teachers in developing the vision and mission of the school. This group will also be responsible for establishing many of the culture, policies, expectations and operating procedures of building. The following is meant to give the applicant a clear understanding of the criteria for being on the leadership team and also being a teacher at the new Mead PK-8.

The following is meant to give the applicant a clear understanding of the criteria for being on the leadership team and also being a teacher at the new Mead PK-8.
The Mead PK-8 is looking for staff that have the following qualities:
- Is a strong communicator and is proactive in their communication with families.
- Is a positive person who is solution oriented when it comes to working through dilemmas.
- Has high expectations for their students and combines those high expectations with warmth and caring.
- Builds strong relationships with students and families.
- Is willing to exhaust all avenues to help their students achieve.
- Builds an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Wants to work within a school wide system with common student and staff expectations.
- Wants to collaborate with colleagues to design common learning experiences.
- Uses district curriculum.
- Is committed to attending all Leadership Team meetings.
- Have a good sense of humor and genuinely enjoys working with their colleagues and students.
- All work is to be completed outside of the regular contract day
- $950 one-time stipend.
- 60 hours = 4 semester hours of credit ($60 / person fee to OPD for 4 semester hours of credit) We will average 10 hours per month. Some months will meet more than 10 hours and some will meet less than 10 hours.
- Leadership Team members will be teachers at the new school in 2026-2027.
- Specific grade level to be determined.
