A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
The Office of Cross-Google Engineering (xGE) is dedicated to overseeing Google's cross-company engineering investments, making sound Google-wide technical decisions, and driving execution on the most important technical initiatives. xGE’s mission is to manage the evolution of Google’s infrastructure stack for the next 20 years.
We are seeking a passionate and data-centric Program Manager to join the xGE Strategy and Operations team. This role is pivotal in building and fostering Google's senior technical community by leading some of our most critical recognition programs and events. You will be responsible for managing the life-cycle of programs such as the Google Tech Impact Awards (GTIA) and running cross-Google events like the Senior IC Forum and Senior IC Summits.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
