What You Will Do
We are looking for an Architecture intern to join our team of dedicated professionals who touch all aspects of our theme parks and resorts from concept to delivery of the built environments enjoyed by our guests! As an intern on the team you will have the opportunity to:
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a BA/BArch degree or advanced degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $27.50 per hour for graduate level students and $26.50 per hour for undergraduate level students. What You Will Do
We are looking for an Architecture intern to join our team of dedicated professionals who touch all aspects of our theme parks and resorts from concept to delivery of the built environments enjoyed by our guests! As an intern on the team you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop varied architectural project work at all stages from concept, feasibility or schematic design through the preparation of construction documentation in accordance with established departmental and divisional quality standards
- Perform various conceptual and technical tasks and documentation, including 3D modeling/project visualization, project inter-disciplinary coordination, development of project base sheets, construction details, plans/sections/elevations, design drafting
- Ensure that the design intent is achieved by successfully integrating facility design with allied disciplines and components of the development such as infrastructure, area development, grading/drainage, lighting, graphics, structural and MEP engineering, etc.
- Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustration, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned projects
- Provide support for design and implementation of assigned projects and design intent
- Prepare specific deliverables including, but not limited to base sheets, hardscape, planting designs, visual intrusion studies, material schedules, etc.; ensure alignment to department/divisional Standards of Practice
- Coordinate and communicate architectural design issues within the project team; support implementation of project goals/objectives through problem-solving and development of design solutions
- Support the facility construction cost estimating process through collection of data for review
- Working knowledge and experience in the use of building materials and products for thematic applications
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino, Revit and/or AutoCAD) and digital illustration tools such as Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp
- Knowledge of architecture design and construction techniques
- Knowledge of related areas, including land planning, civil engineering, area development, lighting, graphic design, etc.
- Membership in one or more professional organizations such as American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, Construction Specifications Institute, or U.S. Green Building Council, is desirable
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a BA/BArch degree or advanced degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA
