We are seeking a Junior IT Security Administrator to join our IT team in our corporate office located in Sioux Falls, SD. In this role, you will support daily security operations for our IT team. This role involves hands-on management of security tools and processes, incident investigation, user education, and compliance support in a dynamic environment.

We are seeking a Junior IT Security Administrator to join our IT team in our corporate office located in Sioux Falls, SD. In this role, you will support daily security operations for our IT team. This role involves hands-on management of security tools and processes, incident investigation, user education, and compliance support in a dynamic environment.

- Manage and monitor XDR/MDR solutions for threat detection and response
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of EDR solutions across endpoints
- Handle messaging security to protect against email-based threats
- Administer security configurations for Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants, including access controls and data protection
- Manage firewalls, SASE endpoints, and VPN clients to ensure secure network access
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, such as virus infections, credential theft, phishing attempts, and other anomalies
- Coordinate internal security education programs, including simulated phishing campaigns to enhance employee awareness
- Assist with compliance efforts by responding to customer audit requests and maintaining relevant documentation
- 1-3 years of relevant IT or security experience preferred (including internships); eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience and certifications)
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate; additional certs like CEH or GIAC a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, incident response, and network security
- Familiarity with tools like EDR/XDR platforms (e.g., Blue Ally, SentinelOne), firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Sonicwall), SASE solutions (e.g., Cato Networks), and cloud security (Azure, M365)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail for investigating incidents
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating education and responding to audits
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
