Position Summary
The Lead Systems Administrator will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for the ongoing operations of all infrastructure components of a hosted datacenter, as well as the ALLDATA presence in the GCP cloud. Responsibilities include server provisioning and installations, support and administration including: physical and virtual server setup, OS installations, automation, advanced troubleshooting, application level support and root cause analysis in both on-premise (datacenter) and GCP environments.

Position Responsibilities - Other Duties May Be Assigned
- Responsible for the continued maintenance of systems including software installation, patch application, file-system management, performance monitoring and tuning and troubleshooting alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed monitoring tools, networking as related to datacenter and GCP operations of team infrastructure and resources. Use Terraform and Gitlab to provision and maintain IaaS resources within GCP.
- 24/7 production support with participation in team on-call.
- Off-hours maintenance activities as scheduled.
- Lead the Linux/Unix infrastructure support team to meet operational goals and projecttimelines.
- Lead and/or assistproject teams withtechnical issues in all phasesof company's standards and best practices
- Understand the customer needs and provide timely support for production issues.
- Propose technical solutions based on production issues.
- Comply with change control and release management policies and procedures.
- Weekly reporting on defined metrics, project status and datacenter and GCP infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in relevant field; or equivalent work experience.
- 10 or more years of professional 24x7 systems maintenance experience in a Linux/Unix data center and/or public cloud environment (GCP preferred).
- Strong knowledge/understanding of ITIL support processes and methodologies, incident management, change control management, problem management.
- Experience with Agile SDLC a plus.
- Ability to activelyparticipate both technically and functionally withinall applications of service management: incident, problem, change, asset, CMDB and, IT Operations Management.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Linux: RHCE, LFCS, LPIC-1 or equivalent
- Cloud: GCP Cloud Engineer, AWS SysOps Admin or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Server+
