HR Generalist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing technology company. This role is a key member of the HR team, responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will work closely with employees and managers across all departments to deliver best-in-class HR support in areas including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Employee Support and Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for HR policies, and employee relations.
• Performance Management: Support the annual performance review cycle, provide coaching to managers and employees, and help ensure fair and consistent feedback practices.
• HR Operations and Compliance: Ensure company policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws. Maintain accurate employee records. Analyze HR metrics and data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Learning & Development: Coordinate training programs and help identify development opportunities for employees and managers.
• HR Projects: Contribute to strategic HR initiatives such as process improvements and HR system enhancements.
• Compensation and Benefits: Provide guidance to employees and managers on compensation processes and serve as a resource for benefits inquiries.
  
  

Requirements/Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years of HR experience, preferably in a high-growth or technology/cybersecurity environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and other company systems. Experience with ADP preferred.
• Work effectively within a team environment.

Additional Competencies/Requirements

Ability to travel (<10%) to other company offices.

Hybrid work schedule with location in MD/VA/DC.

Candidates must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government security clearance.
