Internship Description
- Work directly with the Cybersecurity Team Leader on real-world projects, helping to secure industrial control systems in the water industry, including Operational Technology (OT) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) networks.
- Assist in evaluating the cybersecurity posture of client control systems, support risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security report documentation.
- Gain hands-on exposure to tools and methodologies for identifying threats, analyzing risks, and improving defenses in OT/SCADA environments.
- Opportunity to work on advanced network designs to support overall control system design efforts for existing and new water treatment facilities, ensuring that new designs follow best practices and industry standards for cybersecurity.
- Opportunity to support design efforts for advanced networks that support control systems for both existing and new water treatment facilities, with a focus on applying industry standards and best practices for cybersecurity.

- Candidates must be pursuing a Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Networking Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, subnets, routing, VLANS, firewalls)
- Understanding of common cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
- Experience with common security tools and Linux distributions (Kali, Parrot, etc.)
- Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and ISA62443
- Interest in or exposure to industrial control systems and automation hardware (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, etc.)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating within a team environment.
