Now Hiring: Community Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary Range: $65,000 – $71,000 base + bonus potential

As Community Manager, you’ll lead the daily operations our vibrant ARTISAN apartment community in Chicago. From inspiring your team and serving residents, to overseeing leasing, maintenance, and financial performance—you’ll be at the heart of building a place people love to live and work.

You’ll work closely with your Regional Manager but have the autonomy to lead and make a real impact every day.

Summary Of Position

The Community Property Manager is responsible for the overall operations and success of the property, ensuring excellent service to residents, strong financial performance, and a positive team culture. You’ll coordinate onsite activities, lead your team, and work to maximize occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ARTISAN policies and all federal/state regulations (Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, etc.)
  • Assist with annual budget prep and manage property performance within budget
  • Monitor monthly financials and report on variances
  • Oversee rent collection, deposit processes, and financial reporting
  • Handle delinquency, evictions, and related processes
  • Manage vendors and approve invoices
  • Conduct market research and recommend rental rates
  • Ensure lease files are accurate and office/model units are in top condition
  • Attend management meetings and submit required reports
  • Represent ARTISAN with professionalism and pride
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
  • Property Manager experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years as a Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager or 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Industry certifications (ARM, CAM, NALP, RPM) a plus
  • AppFolio experience preferred
