Job Summary

As the Infrastructure and Systems Manager, you will be the technical and strategic leader overseeing JEO’s core infrastructure, systems architecture and identity management. This is a hybrid coach-player role: you will mentor and grow the team while remaining technically hands-on to deliver and support projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and future-focused—capable of shifting seamlessly between high-level strategy and detailed execution.

Responsibilities And Duties

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor, coach, and grow a high-performing infrastructure and systems team
  • Support professional development and build succession within the department
  • Foster a collaborative, open-minded, and solution-oriented team culture

Infrastructure Strategy & Execution

  • Set the strategic direction for JEO’s server, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure
  • Lead modernization initiatives across SD-WAN, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and secure internet access through next-generation web gateway solutions
  • Lead adoption Microsoft cloud services
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance operational performance

Identity & Systems Management

  • Manage and secure user identity systems including Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), SSO, MFA, and conditional access
  • Oversee lifecycle management for user accounts, devices, and access controls
  • Ensure stable, secure operation of Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune
  • Manage M365 solutions deployment to support business operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365 services and applications
  • Configure M365 service settings and security features according to organizational requirements
  • Oversee Azure AD Groups for security and access management
  • Maintain up-to-date M365 licensing and subscriptions
  • Monitor platform Compliance Policies via Intune
  • Create, maintain, and deploy applications and devices using Autopilot, Intune, and the Company Portal
  • Proactively monitor and manage CrowdStrike for cybersecurity
  • Stay informed about new technologies in the field to continually improve our systems

Project Management

  • Plan and manage infrastructure-related projects including system upgrades, rollouts, and migrations
  • Develop project timelines, resources allocations, and risk mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, systems, or IT operations
  • Deep knowledge of networking, servers, databases, and software solutions in the cloud
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience in an IT team setting
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra/Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Intune
  • Hands-on experience with identity management, networking, virtualization, and endpoint management
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and networking within the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, MCSE, or equivalent
  • Experience leading cross-functional infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, backup systems, virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Experience in engineering, AEC, or project-based business environments
  • Experience supporting CMMC compliance efforts or working within CMMC-regulated environments
  • Direct involvement in acquisition assessments, technology transition planning, or IT integration related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, strategic partnerships, and technology procurement processes
