Early Childhood Teacher

Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintains an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child and family
• Provides for the physical safety and well-being of each child, from arrival to departure
• Attends training sessions for professional and program development
• Ensures licensing requirements are implemented
• Classroom assistance with teaching and aiding children with classwork
• Leading/developing crafts ideas and aiding children through crafts exercise
• Aiding children with potty use, changing diapers
• Observing and interacting with children during outdoor play while insuring safety of children
• Securing a safe environment for children inside daycare area
• Cleaning of area after meals/snacks and at end of day and securing class and equipment used during day.
  
  

Requirements

• Positive, reliable work ethic
• Passionate about working with children
• Meets/exceeds licensing requirements including:
• TB Test
• Background Check
• Documentation of citizenship
• Physical ability to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have own transportation
  
  

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education or related field
• Hold CDA or other associate's degree or higher
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification
• Current Medication Administration Training (MAT)
