The Role You'll Contribute
The Facility Maintenance Manager manages and supervises all facility related maintenance to practice locations to include building, grounds maintenance and safety, and functions as the Facility HiTrust safety officer. This position provides supervision for all security, maintenance, materials management, and maintains oversight of contracted services, i.e., environmental, laundry services, and biomedical service. Manager works with Executive Director on all aspects of new facility development openings, as well as maintenance/refurbishing activities for existing sites. Responsible for coordinating Ambulatory Systems capital improvement projects. Monitors routine and preventative maintenance activities to ensure utilities, environmental systems and other building systems operate properly and efficiently. Works with Purchasing and other departments managing equipment recall requests. Responsible for maintaining emergency preparedness plans, and emergency communications with practice leaders.
The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the facilities maintenance team, facilities dispatcher, and facilities coordinator. Manager oversees the prioritizing of assigned work orders through verbal instructions/directions, hospital system work order requests, and follows the daily work via meetings with staff to ensure proper installation, repairs, and equipment operations exist. Has oversight for the maintenance budget and frequently monitors the budget and discusses variances with the Executive Director and Accounting Director. The manager has responsibility for developing and maintaining maintenance schedules, coordinate and plan on-call schedules and strives to provide safety training opportunities for the maintenance team. The Facilities Maintenance Manager provides weekly/monthly/yearly detailed reporting of work orders and technician work bench productivity. This position also manages and coordinates facility maintenance projects for all AdventHealth Centra Care, Primary Care , Onsite, Employer Care and Ambulatory Services as requested.

The Value You'll Bring To The Team
- Ensures, leads, facilitates, and supports departmental compliance with life safety codes, infection control, environment of care, and HiTrust requirements. Applies the principles of continuous quality improvement to measure, monitor and assess effectiveness and potential adverse effects of delivery of service to optimize improvement in services and/or prevent patient injury.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for operations, quality of services, and all aspects of safety and maintenance programs within the department and practice locations. Manages and monitors all aspects of maintenance (preventive, corrective and scheduled) and construction projects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for all aspects of safety and maintenance by educating staff on HiTrust compliance and in-servicing new practice leaders on HiTrust requirements to ensure safe, well-maintained environments of care assuring the safety and well-being of patients, family, physicians, staff, and visitors throughout service line. Continually monitors HiTrust Monthly Safety Checklists for HiTrust compliance.
- Determines priorities for repair, maintenance activities, and construction / renovation projects to maximize productivity and cost effectiveness while minimizing disruption to operations.
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
- High school grad or equivalent
- 2 years work experience
