The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing all the daily operations pertaining to our Carrier and Inventory Managed Business. This position will also oversee the dispatch team should the Dispatch Supervisor be unavailable. The Senior Logistics Specialist will collaborate with multiple roles and departments, across Fuel and throughout the organization, to ensure the overall execution of the supply plan.

The Senior Logistics Specialist Will Also

• Oversee the Company's Inventory Managed Program with all third-party carriers.
• Assists in responding to any accidents, spills, shortages, mixed fuel, or maintenance issues following Company policies, procedures and practices.
• Assists with on the job training and mentoring of other team members and ensure individual and team goals and KPI's are being delivered upon.
• Works effectively with Supply and Pricing teams to achieve maximum profitability on fuel while meeting set delivery standards.
• Analyzes and makes decisions pertaining to freight cost of Casey's vs Carrier on a load-by-load basis.
• When team is short-staffed, oversee the most complex supply/delivery markets.
• Assist with third party carrier hiring, terminating and rate negotiation.
• Identify opportunities, set priorities, utilize available resources to meet these priorities and enlist outside assistance to meet individual market demands.
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly tracking of carrier performance (outages, cross drops, lifting compliance, invoicing, safety).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$54,300- $71,300.‏‏‎ ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Hours for this position are 6am-6pm, 4 days on and 4 days off

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent relevant work related experience is required.
• At least two years of dispatching experience is required.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized is essential.
• Possesses strong analytical skills.
• Team player who demonstrates fairness and concern for drivers, carriers, and Casey's team members.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Capable of working with a team or individually.
• Able to listen to issues/concerns and quickly respond to needs by notifying appropriate person and/or using Company procedures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook is essential
