The Quality Inspector I plays a crucial role in supporting production by ensuring adherence to specifications, conducting comprehensive inspections, and communicating necessary adjustments to the production supervisor. This role requires meticulous documentation of inspection results in compliance with the Quality Management System, including reports, logs, and summaries of rework activities.

Job Overview
The Quality Inspector I plays a crucial role in supporting production by ensuring adherence to specifications, conducting comprehensive inspections, and communicating necessary adjustments to the production supervisor. This role requires meticulous documentation of inspection results in compliance with the Quality Management System, including reports, logs, and summaries of rework activities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize various measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform dimensional and functional checks on components.
- Perform routine tests, including physical and non-destructive testing, to assess product integrity and reliability.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records in accordance with established procedures and quality management systems.
- Assist in identifying and addressing non-conformities or deviations from quality standards, collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Inspection or Quality environment.
- Proficiency in using various inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and optical comparators.
- Ability to interpret blueprint requirements accurately.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Quality Management System requirements.
- Basic computer knowledge, preferably experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
