The HVAC Applications Manager is responsible for leading a team of HVAC Applications Specialists, ensuring the delivery of accurate technical support, system design recommendations, and competitive project quotes. This role requires a strong leader with deep HVAC technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive team performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of HVAC Applications Specialists.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing professional development.
- Oversee the preparation of HVAC system quotes, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Monitor project pipelines, quote close ratios, and team workload distribution.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align technical support with sales strategies.
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies and project management best practices.
- Support key customer relationships and assist in resolving escalated issues.
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform product positioning.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in HVAC systems, including unitary, mini-split, hydronic, and commercial systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, codes, and application practices.
- Lead internal training sessions and support external product demonstrations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HVAC applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in project bidding, plan and spec work, and technical sales support.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficient in HVAC design principles, load calculations, and system applications.
- Analytical mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/project tracking tools.
