D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Analyst. The right candidate will research, recommend, implement and oversee solutions on various corporate strategies and operational initiatives that result in heightened efficiency and/or profitability
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform data mining and independent research to assist in development of recommendations of the Analytics team
- Strategize with other key stakeholders on how to best align information systems with company objectives
- Assist Analytics team members with recurring and ad hoc reporting to support operational initiatives
- Perform independent research and data mining in Microsoft SQL Serveron issues, projects, and ideas that expand efficiency/capacity
- Update existing reporting in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerBI to summarize and monitor key initiatives
- Effectively communicate suggested changes to improve team consistency and performance
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Develop business intelligence reports for all functional areas of the business
- Analyze complex problems. Recommend and implement innovative solutions. Communicate requirements and partner with other developers to analyze complex data and process issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, debug, tune and optimize data load and report performance
- Test data pulls and reports ensuring data accuracy
- Collaborate and coordinate with developers and Business Analysts to analyze complex problems and recommend innovative solutions
- Provide end-user and support desk support and provide resolutions
- Assist users with reporting navigation or data questions
- Ability to travel overnight
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Two to four years related experience and/or training
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Excel is required
- Knowledge of databases and data processes
- Skills in reporting and documenting implementations and solutions
- Ability to work independently
- Understand business practices

- Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills
- Report writing skills
- Ability to deliver effective presentations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
- Experience in a related industry (homebuilding, mortgage and title) is a plus
