Join Our Team as a Logistics Manager at Epiroc!

The Supply Chain Manager is a key leadership role within the CSC NASA Configuration Center, responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of supply chain activities including operational purchasing, inventory management, planning, and internal logistics. This role ensures that materials and components flow efficiently through the facility to support high-mix, configure-to-order operations and on-time customer delivery.

Success in this position requires the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The Supply Chain Manager will work cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and regional supply chain teams to anticipate demand, optimize inventory levels, improve supplier performance, and streamline internal material movement. This individual will also play a critical role in driving cost control, enhancing system and process efficiency, and building a resilient, customer-focused supply chain organization.

This is a highly visible role with responsibility for developing and executing supply chain strategies that directly impact the Configuration Center’s performance, customer satisfaction, and alignment with broader Epiroc initiatives.

Work Type: This role is primarily office-based with frequent presence in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to moving machinery, material handling equipment, and occasional outdoor conditions. Safety equipment and adherence to all safety protocols are required. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Operational Purchasing & Supplier Coordination

  • Oversee operational buying activities to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials, components, and supplies required for product configuration and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing and procurement teams to align supplier relationships with business needs, support vendor onboarding, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing strategies, documentation requirements, and applicable trade and procurement policies.
  • Work proactively with internal stakeholders to manage material lead times, reduce supply disruptions, and align purchasing plans with demand forecasts.

Inventory Management & Planning

  • Lead demand and materials planning processes to ensure availability of the right materials at the right time, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies that support production flexibility and customer responsiveness.
  • Maintain accurate system data through regular cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory adjustments in alignment with financial controls.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory turns, accuracy, slow-moving items) and develop action plans to address risks or imbalances.
  • Partner with commercial and operations teams to align planning cycles with customer demand, order patterns, and field priorities.

Internal Logistics & Warehouse Flow

  • Drive efficiency and accuracy in all internal logistics processes including receiving, put-away, internal transfers, kitting, staging, and outbound shipping.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage strategies to support configuration operations and ensure safe, lean movement of goods.
  • Ensure outbound shipments meet customer specifications and are executed in compliance with applicable regulations, including trade and customs documentation.
  • Support the development and monitoring of KPIs related to warehouse efficiency, shipping accuracy, and logistics cost management.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance supply chain processes through lean methodology, root cause analysis, and cross-functional problem-solving.
  • Utilize ERP (Infor M3 preferred) and planning systems to drive visibility, accuracy, and control across supply chain functions.
  • Identify gaps in systems or workflows and partner with IT or business support functions to implement improvements.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making by developing and reporting meaningful KPIs across purchasing, planning, inventory, and logistics.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure all supply chain and warehouse operations comply with Epiroc policies, safety standards, ISO requirements, and relevant trade regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across the team, including adherence to PPE usage, equipment training, and incident reporting protocols.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, inventory availability, lead times, and logistics execution.
  • Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness for supply chain-related activities, including inbound shipments, inventory movements, and procurement records.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations; Master’s degree or APICS/SCM certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials planning, or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or configuration center environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or people management role, with demonstrated success in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of operational purchasing, demand and materials planning, inventory control, and internal logistics.
