Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Innovation Program Manager. This role will report to the Vice President, Global Asset Strategy, ISC and will be responsible for supporting Hexcel’s global factory modernization and footprint optimization. The Program Manager will ensure successful delivery of a complex program aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of inspiring and working effectively across functions and through influence to achieve program objectives while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The role can be located at one of the following US locations – Salt Lake City, UT; Casa Grande, AZ; Burlington, WA, Kent, WA, Pottsville, PA, Amesbury, MA or Decatur, AL.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Formulate, organize, and monitor interconnected projects within the program.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to Project Managers, ensuring alignment of individual projects with program goals and overall business strategy.
  • Coordinate cross-project activities, manage interdependencies, and facilitate collaboration among different project teams.
  • Develop and implement program management methodologies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and maintain quality standards.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success criteria to assess overall program effectiveness.
  • Manage the program budget, allocate resources effectively across projects, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and trigger events within the program, and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders at various levels, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Ensure adherence to global framework, standard processes, governance and catalog of services.
  • Ensure business impacts and project timelines are properly managed and communicated.
  • Develop reports, analytics, and assessment tools to evaluate performance and possible new improvement opportunities.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives, assessing downstream impacts and implementing effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • PMP or similar certification is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, including end-to-end oversight of cross-functional initiatives or minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations, with demonstrated success in process optimization and team leadership.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, capable of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change within an organization.
  • Solid understanding of change management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 
  • Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team of Project Managers.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
