We are seeking a strategic and results-driven **Category Manager** to join our Residential & Light Commercial HVAC Americas Procurement team. This role will lead sourcing efforts for Capital Equipment and Maintenance, managing over $100M in annual spend.
As a key contributor, you will develop and execute category strategies that drive cost reduction, optimize working capital, mitigate risk, and ensure supplier performance and quality. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders to support business growth and profitability.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders to support business growth and profitability.
**Job Responsibilities**
- Lead development and execution of category strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships
- Conduct market analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Drive cost transparency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage supplier contracts and ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation
- Analyze category data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Track and report on procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, and working capital
- Facilitate regular category reviews and drive strategic alignment
- Influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing within a global manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Experience in supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration
- Masters degree preferred
- CPSM Certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams) and ERP systems (SAP, Power BI)
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive change in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and risk mitigation
- Ability to influence across dotted-line reporting structures and interface with senior leadership
