Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven **Category Manager** to join our Residential & Light Commercial HVAC Americas Procurement team. This role will lead sourcing efforts for Capital Equipment and Maintenance, managing over $100M in annual spend.

As a key contributor, you will develop and execute category strategies that drive cost reduction, optimize working capital, mitigate risk, and ensure supplier performance and quality. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders to support business growth and profitability.

**Job Responsibilities**

  • Lead development and execution of category strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships
  • Conduct market analysis to inform sourcing decisions
  • Drive cost transparency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage supplier contracts and ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation
  • Analyze category data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Track and report on procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, and working capital
  • Facilitate regular category reviews and drive strategic alignment
  • Influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing within a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred
  • CPSM Certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams) and ERP systems (SAP, Power BI)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive change in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and risk mitigation
  • Ability to influence across dotted-line reporting structures and interface with senior leadership
