Maintenance Technician

Description

ROLE:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the regularly scheduled maintenance of mechanical equipment as well as the regular maintenance of a large manufacturing facility including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, functional and cosmetic maintenance and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Self-manage and coordinate priorities with the Plant Manager
• Troubleshoot repair and maintain equipment - Coordination with equipment manufactures technical support as needed.
• Repairing and maintaining the facility - Electrical (Low Volt (Ethernet),24V, 120V – 480V), Mechanical, Plumbing, Painting/Drywall repair
• Support commissioning of new equipment as needed
• Conduct regular equipment inspections
• Determining the level of repairs needed if it is beyond the normal scope of maintenance.
• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work for the most efficient use of time and machinery.
• Identify, and maintain levels of inventory of necessary parts/equipment needed to maintain machinery and the building.
• Use of Asset Management Software to schedule and record maintenance performed on equipment. (Asset Tiger)
• Maintain a clean orderly workspace, keep parts and equipment organized.
• Use of proper PPE, Safety shoes, Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats.
• Support facility and operations 6S implementation
• Responsible use and management of any chemicals required for maintenance
• Self-motivated and capable of independently assessing facility and equipment conditions, determining maintenance priorities, and executing repairs in a timely manner.
• Support OSHA compliance
• Retain the standards, culture, and values of Kratos Industries
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to operate different machinery/equipment.
• Prolonged periods of standing walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, and carrying materials.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Noise levels can be loud and disruptive at times.
• Warehouse environment, indoor.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Driver’s License (Required)
• Verbal and written communication skills/Interpersonal relationships
• Collaborate with team members, listen to and discuss methods and principles with peers.
• Positive solutions focused mindset
• Experience with NFPA 70
• Experience with OSHA Regulations
  
  

Experience

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC Machinery: 1 year (Preferred)
• Office Suite, Facilities management software. Outlook, Teams (Preferred)

PERFORMANCE BONUS
