Your Impactful Role
- Perform surgical scrub and gowning procedures according to standards
- Prepare sterile trays, instruments, and supplies based on the procedure type
- Assist in patient preparation and draping
- Uphold aseptic technique at all times
- Aid in dressing application and patient positioning
- Decontaminate equipment, instruments, and supplies and maintain cleanliness
- Assist in maintaining inventory and par levels of supplies and equipment
- Open and close the operating room according to established procedures
- Collaborate with the registered nurse in various areas, including pre-op, sterile processing, and PACU
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program preferred
- 1 year of OR experience preferred
- Current medical assistant certification and CPR certification preferred
