The Data Analyst for Extension and Extended Campus supports data-driven decision-making across non-credit programs by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate enrollment, program, and financial data; generating actionable insights through reports and dashboards; and supporting program evaluation, market research, and compliance reporting. The analyst collaborates closely with business units, marketing, enrollment, and finance teams to align analytics with strategic goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Management:
    • Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources including enrollment systems, learning management systems (LMS), CRM platforms, surveys, and financial systems.
    • Maintain and update data related to course registrations, client demographics, program completion, and outcomes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze trends in client enrollment, course performance, and completion.
    • Generate regular reports and dashboards for business units, division leadership, and external stakeholders.
    • Identify insights to support program development, marketing strategies, and resource allocation.
    • Assist with data preparation and reporting for accreditation, service and grant funding requirements.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Support program evaluation by analyzing client surveys, instructor evaluations, and learning outcomes.
    • Collaborate with business units to provide data-driven recommendations for program enhancements.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to benchmark against peer institutions and assess demand for new or existing non-credit programs.
    • Provide data insights to inform pricing strategies and identify target demographics.
  • Business Intelligence Tools:
    • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
    • Automate data pipelines and reporting processes where possible.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with marketing, enrollment, finance, and business unit teams to align data efforts with institutional goals.
    • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and present them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, computer science, education or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or institutional research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in data analytics, educational research, business intelligence or a related field.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in data analytics supporting continuing/professional education or in a higher education environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI.
  • Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional communication skills are essential to translate technical findings into clear, meaningful recommendations for various stakeholders.
