You will report to the Director of People Analytics, who is committed to empowering the team and nurturing a positive work environment. The position operates in a hybrid setup from our Durham office, requiring employees to be in the office three days a week. This flexible arrangement allows for meaningful in-person collaboration while also enabling the independence to work remotely.
Your Role
The People Analytics team at Nutanix is looking for an analyst with a passion to help leaders make data-driven decisions about our employees. This person will excel at creating visual dashboards that allows clients to quickly understand the story and will also be adept at approaching problems with an analytical mindset and persistence to get to the root of the problem.
The People Analytics Team is responsible for understanding the employee experience across the employee life cycle, leveraging multiple data inputs to measure and accelerate the employee experience, and ultimately, providing leaders with insights and data to help them make informed decisions about our people.
The team leverages data from many sources, including HRIS, ATS (Applicant Tracking System), survey data, and other people program data (e.g., Learning Management System).
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 85,600 and USD $ 171,600 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. The People Analytics Team is responsible for understanding the employee experience across the employee life cycle, leveraging multiple data inputs to measure and accelerate the employee experience, and ultimately, providing leaders with insights and data to help them make informed decisions about our people.
The team leverages data from many sources, including HRIS, ATS (Applicant Tracking System), survey data, and other people program data (e.g., Learning Management System).
- Develop complex Tableau dashboards that leverage multiple data sources by running discovery sessions to gather client requirements and building visualizations to quickly identify gaps, strengths, and trends across time
- Partner with a data engineer by communicating and refining Tableau dashboard needs to ensure data sources are structured to support client objectives.
- Provide ongoing client support, expertly translating client questions into data and insights, managing the project timelines and client expectations, and documenting requirements (e.g., metric definitions)
- Carefully handle sensitive employee data, ensuring necessary confidentiality and security
- Analyze unstructured / structured disparate data sources and running statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights
- Consult with HR leaders and business leaders across the organization, leveraging data and insights to tell a compelling story and help leaders make data-driven decisions
- Support HR organization’s data needs by looking for ways to automate data processes and streamline reporting
- Support enterprise employee listening program by building surveys and updating reporting within the survey tool, and providing ongoing project support, as needed
- 2+ years of experience using Tableau to create interactive data visualizations
- 2+ years of experience in BI/Analytics with stakeholder-facing requirements work
- 1+ year experience in SQL with ability to write basic queries joining multiple tables
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with experience prioritizing, balancing, and delivering upon multiple priorities
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally across teams / departments
- Ability to develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes and recommend resolutions
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly utilizing AI to quickly grasp new concepts and further expand knowledge
- Expertise in statistical and analytical tools (e.g., Python), and techniques (e.g., machine learning, regressions) desirable
- MS or MBA in math or science field (i.e., Engineering, Analytics, Psychology etc.) desirable
