General Laborer

Pay: $17.00/ Hour

Location: Rochester, NY

Weitsman Recycling is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Laborer to support daily operational functions across our facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the coordination of facility operations, including material handling, equipment support, and general yard or shop duties
• Maintain work areas in accordance with company safety and cleanliness standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily workflows and special projects
• Operate tools, machinery, and equipment as needed, following all safety guidelines
• Support inventory tracking, loading/unloading procedures, and material processing
• Perform routine checks and reporting to ensure efficient site operations
• Provide support to supervisors and contribute to the overall efficiency of plant operations

• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial environment
• Highly organized, dependable, and self-directed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of physical tasks as needed
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying outdoor and indoor conditions
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Familiarity with warehouse or inventory management systems a plus
