JOB SUMMARY

The Loan Operations Assistant, reporting directly to the Loan Servicing Manager, plays a key role in supporting the loan operations team. Responsibilities include indexing loan documents, maintaining tracking logs, monitoring insurance status, and verifying the accuracy and completeness of e-filed loans. Additionally, this position may occasionally assist with loan processing tasks. As a dual-role position, the Loan Operations Assistant will also serve as an Associate Relationship Banker on an as-needed basis.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Upload and index e-file loans and maintain log of indexed loans
  • Perform Life Insurance Tracking and verification calls to ensure assignment is placed and remains in force for life of loans
  • Distribute Consumer Installment Loan disclosures. Including, accessing loan applications, uploading documents, printing disclosures and cover letters, and mailing the documents to clients
  • Maintain Flood Coverage Tracking to ensure adequate coverage is maintained post-close for the life of the loans
  • Perform second checks on e-file loans to verify all documents are received and signed accurately, then complete the loan checklist.
  • Serve as a backup Associate Relationship Banker in the branch
  • Assist with Indirect Dealer new note edit checks as needed
  • Assist Loan Processing & Mortgage Processing Departments as needed
  • Assist Internal Audit and Loan Review with gathering and researching information
  • Perform other related duties as may be requested or assigned
  • Completes additional tasks, projects, and reports as requested or assigned.
  • Adheres to and satisfies all duties and training requirements related to company or outside agency compliance, confidentiality, policies, fraudulent or suspicious activity reporting, laws, and regulations as they apply to the position.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • 2+ years of banking experience, with experience in loan servicing processes preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Excel, and Word
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with branch staff.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Availability to serve as backup support for branch staff during personnel shortages.
